Chantal and me in Málaga

Girls having fun in town!

Olive Oil

In november 2005 we harvested the olives on our land for olive oil for the first time.

Herman and Chantal were here and enjoyed hitting the trees with long sticks to let the olives fall on the ground on nets. I wonder who they were thinking about?

Handpicking the ones that didn't want to fall.

The result is worth it. This year we had 50 liters of delicious cold pressed virgin olive oil. Some of you have tasted it it.
Next year we intend to even that and if possible more.
Anyone feel like participating?

the start of a wall

Last year we started building a wall around the house to keep the earth from washing away if it rains (it does rain here sometimes and with a vengeance) and also to add some meters to our already 56.000 square meter plot..., just kidding but it will give us some extra space right around the house so we can build a POOL. This is how we started by digging a trench.

building a wall

This blog will be following us in our daily life in the south of spain, Coín, Málaga to be exact.
We moved here from Holland about 4 years ago, built a house and we're now doing all kinds of construction work around the house.
The blog is intended for our family and friends who can see how we are coming along on a regular basis.
Hope you enjoy it.
