folkdancing in Coín

A folkdancing festival was held in Coín on Saturday evening. In the five years that we live here we have never been before and for obvious reasons... Nothing more unsexy as folkdancing!
We did enjoy the atmosphere of the town square filled with people, having a drink, young girls flirting at the water fountain with the young boys, elderly actually enjoying the show, babies 'dancing' to the music, but folkdancing... not my cup of tea. I prefer Flamenco.

view

View from the Stupa of the coastline looking out to Fuengirola.
It's is becoming quite crowded on the Costa del Sol.

buddhist stupa on the coast

We have been running some errands on the coast; from Coín to Málaga to Benalmádena and on to Marbella and back to Coín. This takes you about half a day. We paused for some tranquility and inspiration at the Buddhist Stupa in Benalmádena. It is said to be the biggest stupa in Europe...

UFO

We had some UFO's (Unidentified Floating Objects) floating in our pool this weekend

7-7-7

There is always a reason to celebrate and drink Cava: today Mike and Zulema came over with the kids to celebrate the big date 7-7-7. We missed the elections of the 7 new world wonders and as a gesture to the environment we did not turn on the TV so no Live Earth Concerts for us.
It was a lovely day.

A Bigger Bang!

Yep! You guessed it, we went to The Bigger Bang Concert of the Rolling Stones last night in El Tejido (near Almeria). It might be the last time they perform, although that has been said before, for me it was the first time: I was a Rolling Stones Virgin, but not anymore!
As the papers said this morning: 'De Locuro!' Absolutely fantastic! A crowd of 30.000 people who just had a rockin' night!

Still rocking!
