Trip to France

We're on a trip to the South of France for a wedding of friends by car.
(a 20 year old BMW M3 is not as fast as a plane but more fun)

We slept in a small resort town just under the French border called Roses.
It's mainly visited by French for weekend trips in May, we're lucky getting a room on Friday night at 8! Had dinner on the beach and woke up with a view which wasn't that bad.

Resuming our trip to France we took the very winding coastal road and stopped for breakfast in Llança. When Chris was 16 years old he hitch-hiked from Amsterdam to Llança where he slept on the beach, ate mussels which he found himself on the rocks, cooked in white wine, and washed dishes in a bar to earn some extra money. Isn't that romantic?
Actually Llança is still a tiny harbour resort with a small beach. Notice that there are no reclining chairs, nor umbrellas or other tacky accessories.
